I thought I would commemorate it by highlighting an exhibit at the Yiddish Book Center in Amherst, MA where they featured Yiddish women writers—poets, novelists, journalists—in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, who were mostly ignored because of their gender.
Mid-Summer in the Beautiful Berkshires
Cloudless blue skies, warm, dry air, green fields and flowers everywhere. That is what I call a perfect Berkshire summer day. I have been enjoying strings of these days, full of concerts, plays and exhibits in museums not to mention walks (we don’t so much do hikes these days) on shady paths with gorgeous views.
